PlasmaLine

Greater process reliability

Smooth, burr-free cut edges thanks to PlasmaLine
+ Smooth, burr-free cut edges thanks to PlasmaLine
During high-pressure cutting of thick stainless steel, aluminum and mild steel, plasma may form especially at contour transitions if the parameters for plasma forming are not optimized. In extreme cases, this may even interrupt the downward ejection of the slag, i.e. the material is expelled upward.

This usually means that the current part can be relegated to the scrap bin. It is exactly in such cases that PlasmaLine steps in and, as a rule, prevents the cut from being interrupted. If plasma is detected, the system reacts in two steps.

On the left: Step 1, On the right: Step 2
+ On the left: Step 1,
On the right: Step 2
Step 1:
If plasma forms, PlasmaLine reduces the feedrate. The plasma extinguishes, and the cut edge is again smooth and free of burrs.

Step 2:
If step 1 is unsuccessful, PlasmaLine briefly stops the axes motion until the plasma extinguishes. After that, the cut edge is again smooth and free of burrs.
