Seoul honours TRUMPF

Seoul, South-Korea, June 16, 2006 – For his special commitment to Seoul, Friedrich Stockinger, Managing Director of TRUMPF Korea Co, Ltd., was named an honorary citizen of the South Korean capital. The citizenship certificate was bestowed on Mr. Stockinger by Lord Mayor Lee Myung-Bak during a special ceremony in early May.

With honorary citizenship, the city of Seoul has recognized, among other things, Friedrich Stockinger's commitment to German-Korean business relations and his contribution to advancing and deepening the business relations between German companies and the city of Seoul . This award is not only an enormous honor for Stockinger. At the same time, it acknowledges TRUMPF's commitment to Seoul where the new TRUTEC building for the machine manufacturer is currently being built. This project is gaining a great deal of attention and is regarded as a clear signal of the excellent relationship between South Korea and TRUMPF.
