"TRUMPF technologies offer very practical ways to complement milling and turning"

Dr Mathias Kammüller's statement on the EMO 2007

Ditzingen, September 17, 2007 – "The EMO has developed more and more into a ‘machining trade show' over the past years. However, because the EMO endeavors to cover the entire spectrum of metal processing technology, future technologies such as laser cutting and laser welding must also be represented. The same applies to economical and versatile applications such as punching and bending on state-of-the-art machines.

TRUMPF this year purposefully placed itself in Hall 12 with the metal cutting machine tools in order to demonstrate alternatives and additions to producing parts from solid material. Sheet metal is not only more economical, it can also be processed quicker and is, of course, considerably lighter. In many cases, however, it's not about an either/or decision: TRUMPF technologies frequently offer very practical ways to complement milling and turning and thereby clearly optimize many a workpiece. Together with our customers, we have collected a number of sample parts prior to the show, which visibly demonstrate the advantages of sheet metal designs.

To us, EMO provides a forum to build new customer relationships all over the world. In the last fiscal year, which ended on June 30 with 18 percent sales growth, we experienced our strongest gains in Eastern Europe and Germany . Also Western Europe and Asia enjoyed a considerable upswing. The strong world economy and the high demand for production tools and equipment contributed to this growth in sales. The positive investment mood continues, making the internationally oriented EMO a good forum to convince more users of the advantages of sheet metal processing."
