Leibinger family takes over shares in the TRUMPF Group from BWK-Maschinenbau Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH

Leibinger family and Berthold Leibinger Stiftung GmbH now hold 100 percent of TRUMPF stock.

Ditzingen, September 29, 2003 – The Leibinger family has acquired all of the shares (11.6 percent) held by BWK-Maschinenbau Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH (Stuttgart, Germany) in the TRUMPF Group.

This change in holdings is taking effect retroactively on July 1, 2003. Prof. Berthold Leibinger, President of the TRUMPF Group, and his three children are acquiring the shares from BWK in equal portions. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

Now that BWK has relinquished its holdings, the Leibinger family holds 96.2 percent of all shares. The Berthold Leibinger Stiftung GmbH holds the remaining 3.8 percent. BWK has been a partner in the TRUMPF Group since 1992. After an extraordinarily successful more than ten-year collaboration, this change in holdings has taken place by mutual agreement and on the best of terms. The transaction is an ex-pression of the confidence that the partners have in the future of the company.
