MultiBend

The ability to carry out as many processing operations as possible on a single machine – this is an important goal for TRUMPF's product developers. Up to now, bending had to be carried out as a separate step on a press brake. TRUMPF MultiBend puts an end to that! Users can now carry out bends of angles of up to 90° and up to a maximum height of 25 mm using a punching machine or a combination machine. This leads to shorter processing times and lower parts costs.

MultiBend can be used for a sheet thickness range of 0.5 to 2 mm, independent of the type of material used. The angle tolerance is + 1°.

Bending on punching machines eliminates unnecessary work steps.

A quick overview of the advantages:

• Flanges can be bent in one single machine setup. This saves time and money and increases the range of applications that can be carried out on punching machines and combination punch/laser machines.
• Bending can be carried out on both exterior and interior contours.
• MultiBend can also bend pre-machined sheets.
