Burr-free from the punch press

New tools eliminate need for manual refinishing

Two new tools, one purpose: Thanks to the two innovations, the roller deburring tool and the deburring MultiTool, which had their debut at the EuroBlech show in Hanover, sheetmetal parts are free of burrs when they come off the punch press. This means you can say goodbye to all that tedious refinishing work that, until now, had to be done in a separate, manual work step. Especially where coated sheets and formed parts are concerned, start-to-finish processing on the punch press greatly reduces the throughput times.

Mode of function:

The two tools have one thing in common: They displace the burr and chamfer the edges. The roller deburring tool uses a specially shaped coining roller for long edges and contours with a radius of over 20 mm. The 3-station MultiTool, for its part, masters smaller radii and intricate geometries in single strokes or in nibbling mode. Both tools, controlled by the TruTops Punch programming system, are suitable for sheets up to 2.5 mm thick, in mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum.

Advantages at a glance:

  • Shorter production cycles through complete processing on one machine.
  • Almost completely burr-free metal parts with consistently high quality.
  • Gentle deburring of parts‘ contours, even for coated sheet metal and sheet metal with forms.
  • Excellent edge quality when used in combination with the MultiShear tool.
  • Better edge quality leads to fewer injuries.
