In roller technology (pat. Wilson), forming and cutting are made possible not through successive punching and forming strokes but by the travel motion of the sheet between two steel rollers. This enables travel speeds up to the maximum axis speed, depending on the sheet thickness and machining direction.

Wheel tools offer an alternative to conventional cutting and forming tools in the fabrication of continuous beads, continuous offsets and long cuts in thin sheets up to maximum 2.5 mm (depending on the material). The higher travel speed yields shorter machining times and also lowers the production costs. Contours of any type can be produced, from straight lines to arcs and circles. Machining is virtually noise-free.
