A setup cartridge always contains the matching punches, strippers and dies.
Before machining, the operator loads the linear magazine with the pre-set cartridges. The cartridges are quickly and easily inserted into the linear magazine manually or are automatically transferred using the external ToolMaster tool store. While the machine is processing a job, the tools for the next jobs can be prepared.
The linear magazine is mounted along the cross rail. The set of tools required for processing is inserted into the tool adapter of the punching head by positioning the coordinate guide, and, with it, also the linear magazine, via programmed commands.
