Hirokazu Kito
Service engineer

What was your most brave moment?

My bravest experience at TRUMPF was my stay in Germany. I had originally traveled to Ditzingen for training However, there was a gap of several weeks between the individual training courses so that it was not worth traveling back to Japan. That meant I could offer support to my colleagues in Ditzingen, support they urgently needed at the time. This experience gave me many new professional and cultural insights.

What is your job like?

As a service engineer, I offer support with the installation of punch laser machines throughout any country in Asia. At times, my line of work is extended to Europe as well as North and South America. I would also like to work in other areas if the opportunity presents itself in future.

What makes your job so exciting? Why do you like doing it?

I especially like working on high-tech machines which are worldwide market leaders. My special highlight is the smile on our customers' faces throughout the world who, out of a wide range of machine manufacturers, have chosen TRUMPF.

What's special about working at TRUMPF?

Working at TRUMPF makes it possible to interact with customers and TRUMPF colleagues all over the world. This makes it possible to get to know a lot about the latest technologies, as well as the cultures of the individual countries.

In your opinion, what do people need to fit into your team?

I think the most important thing is to have the capacity for a positive mindset in every working area. You are supported by a worldwide team if you encounter difficulties in solving a problem yourself, particularly as a service engineer.
