The first all-round, turnkey solution for an ultrashort pulse laser in a marking station includes a scanner, chiller, software and image processing, in addition to the laser. The system offers the benefits of maximum process stability thanks to laser power control and monitored pulse energy for each individual pulse. The multi-pulse technology enables the individual adaptation of pulse number and distance in freely configurable pulse trains. This means that you can also use the TruMicro Mark 2000 for other cold processing applications.

A change in color, up to and including deep black, can be brought about in metals through laser processing, which is known as black marking. Ultrashort laser pulses create virtually no heat in the material during processing. The amount of free chromium in the stainless steel thereby remains high enough for a self-healing layer of chromium oxide to form on the surface – the marking on stainless steel thereby becomes corrosion-resistant. Black marking is, therefore, especially well-suited for creating the mandatory markings in medical technology.

The TruTops Mark marking software makes marking with the TruMicro Mark as easy as possible. The TruTops Mark program combines the marking software, CAD editor, management of laser parameters and interfaces, sequence programming with QuickFlow, and a diagnostics tool. An intuitive interface puts all the functions at your fingertips. You can easily draw and arrange graphic objects with the CAD editor. The database for laser parameters enables you to re-use optimized parameters many times over. You can use the QuickFlow sequence programming to create "drag and drop" programs that control the complete marking cycle from beginning to end. The diagnostics tool visualizes and analyzes the analog measured values recorded by its sensors.
Additional options enable your TruMicro Mark to work more efficiently and with more process reliability.
The pilot laser is used to simulate the marking content with a visible red light via a laser diode. You get an idea of the marking results in advance so you can position the component in the marking field even more easily.

Interfaces are key for the integration of a TruMicro laser into your machine or production line. The solid-state lasers from TRUMPF offer interfaces to all common fieldbus systems.
In the event of an error, TRUMPF service experts will remotely access your laser via a secure remote connection. In many cases the fault can be remedied directly in this way, or the configuration of the laser can be modified in a way that permits you to continue manufacturing until the spare part arrives.
