Datacom VCSELs & photodiodes

Whether it's in the data center, in supercomputers or in state-of-the-art PC and TV cables – the surface-emitting TRUMPF datacom VCSELs are the alternative to optical data transmission at 850 nm. The design of the semi-conductor lasers allows a high level of input coupling efficiency at the same low power input. On the receiver side, the relevant GaAs photodiodes complete the range of datacom components from TRUMPF.

5G VCSEL

The TRUMPF datacom VCSEL is designed for data rates of up to 5 Gbps at 850 nm and guarantees top performance, efficiency, and reliability. Benefit from its low power input and outstanding electro-optical performance across the specified temperature range.

10G VCSEL

The 10G VCSEL is the ideal solution for low-cost applications in the field of consumer datacom. It is particularly suitable for large-series production of optical connections here.

14G VCSEL

The TRUMPF 14G datacom VCSEL is designed for data rates of up to 14 Gbps at 850 nm. It is also available as 1x4 and 1x12 arrays for parallel optical links. Due to comprehensive test and qualification procedures, the chips are particularly reliable.

Photodiodes

Due to our decades of expertise in the development and manufacturing of 850-nm PIN diodes, TRUMPF high-speed photodiodes meet the highest demands in terms of power, efficiency, and reliability. They are available for data rates of up to 25 Gbps, respectively as a 1x1 chip or 1x4 or 1x12 array.
