Powder is guided through the nozzle step by step. As soon as the new material has cooled down, you weld the next layer or start with post-processing.

The answer to wear or to the need for modification is laser metal deposition welding. With TRUMPF DepositionLine, you add metallic material depositions on existing components as though it were cast. And this is possible without any loss of quality, well-sealed, free of pores or cracks.
TRUMPF DepositionLine consists of three essential functional units: the powder feeder, the powder feeder line and the processing optics with the process nozzle.
As a movable unit, the powder feeder is positioned directly next to the laser processing machine. The powder/gas mixture from the individual containers is merged to form one single powder mass stream in the powder feeder and then fed to the process nozzle in a precisely regulated stream. Integrated sensor systems ensure the high quality of the material deposition at all times.
