Compact design of the TruLaser Station 5005
Compact design

The TruLaser Station has a footprint of less than 1 m². The rest of the structure also saves space: operating elements for setting up and teaching are located at the front of the machine. You can integrate a dust extractor directly in the machine frame.

Ergonomic machine concept

Operators can choose between a standing or seated work station with highly adjustable footrest. The door opening height can also be programmed. The swiveling control panel and tilting touch panel can also be moved quickly into the desired position.

Safety for the operator, TruLaser Station 5005
Safe for the operator

The safety cabin is designed in accordance with laser class 1 for laser powers up to 1000 W. The operator observes the process through the protective window in the automatic lifting door, the status of which is monitored. The dust and fumes arising during processing are captured directly at the process by a swiveling suction connection piece. The suction connection piece can be connected either to an integrated TRUMPF dust extractor or to the customer's own exhaust system.

Heat conduction welding with the TruLaser Station 5005

Heat conduction welding

The heat conduction welding enables quick and easy connection of thin-wall components. Furthermore, visible edges can be produced without requiring rework, which in turn accelerates the production process. The TruLaser Station 5005, in combination with TruDisk or TruDiode lasers, is ideal for applications such as the welding of sensors.

Scanner-welded electronic contacts

Scanner welding

In combination with the programmable focusing optics, PFO, the TruLaser Station 5005 is outstanding when it comes to the scanner welding of electrical contacts.

Welded optoelectronic component with the TruLaser Station 5005

Seam welding of an optoelectronic component

During seam welding, the sensitive electronics of components, such as sensors, are not affected. The component can be processed in the TruLaser Station 5005 through individual laser pulses or in continuous operation.

Welded halogen lamp, produced in a TruLaser Station 5005

Spot welding

When spot welding with the TruLaser Station 5005, you join components through individual laser pulses in a way that protects materials. The short pulse duration means that virtually no heat is introduced to the component, enabling components to be processed essentially warp-free.

Laser-welded pacemakers

Laser-welded pacemakers

The titanium housing of a pacemaker can be welded in the TruLaser Station 5005 using a Nd:YAG laser, without causing damage to the sensitive internal components.

Plastic welding with the TruLaser Station 5005

Plastic welding

TRUMPF offers you a complete solution for plastic welding. You are provided with the laser, focusing optics with sensor system, and laser machine (with fixture upon request) all from a single source – perfectly adapted to your requirements. This enables you to make the most of the advantages of plastic welding, and produce connections with extremely high strength, density, and aesthetics.

Numerous options make working with the TruLaser Station 5005 not only easier, but also noticeably quicker and therefore more productive due to reduced non-productive times.

Integrated scanner optics from TRUMPF
Fixed or scanner optics

The right focusing optics help you to ensure reliable material processing: BEO processing optics for welding, or PFO programmable focusing optics for scanner welding, for example.

Detection of characteristics with VisionLine Detect
VisionLine image processing

The VisionLine image processing system automatically detects geometric features on the component, such as a joint gap. It corrects the NC processing program as required. This enables you to improve the quality of your components while keeping costs low.

TruLaser Station 5005 with optional rotary axis
Rotary axes

The optional rotary axis of the TruLaser Station 5005 is used for welding rotation-symmetric components. You can select the optimally parameterized rotary axis depending on the size and weight of the component.

TruLaser Station with optional motorized swivel axis
Motorized swivel axis

The motorized swivel axis quickly moves the focusing optics into the correct position. This enables the focusing optics to be rotated ± 120º.

Panel PC of the TruLaser Station 5005
Panel PC

The Panel PC evaluates image signals and offers user-friendly operation. This enables quick and simple teaching directly on the component via touchscreen.

Extended work area of the TruLaser Station 5005
Extension of work area

To process larger components, you can expand the safety cabin to the left and/or right by approx. 14 in. on each side. This increased work area makes it easier to integrate devices.

Clamp tower of the TruLaser Station 5005
Clamp tower

In the clamp tower you can position, clamp, or center welded components. Two independently controlled clamping elements hold pressure dies or centering devices. They individually adjust the clamping force and speed using pressure regulators and throttles.

X-Y cross table of the TruLaser Station 5005
X-Y cross table

The travel range of the X-Y cross table is 300 x 300 mm². The T grooved plate is used for flexible mounting of the device.

Device integration interfaces of the TruLaser Station 5005
Interfaces for device integration

The TruLaser Station 5005 provides you with a variety of media interfaces for simple device integration. It enables the use of multiple digital inputs and outputs, as well as a comprehensive gas supply and pneumatics.

Motorized focusing

With the motorized focusing you can switch between heat welding and deep welding without manual settings. This helps to reduce non-productive times to a minimum.

Smart Teach App product image

Smart Teach app

Smart Teach is an application for your PFO, programmable focusing optics. It makes it easier to create and set up laser welding programs. The digital camera transmits the live image to the app. This enables convenient teaching directly at the component. If you want to create and teach in geometries, you can do this by way of intuitive gesture operation on a tablet PC.

Visual Online Support

Visual Online Support (VOS)

Resolve even the most complex issues via the app – without the need for on-site deployment. Visual Online Support (VOS) enables you to exchange image, audio, and video files conveniently, quickly, and reliably, and thus avoid long machine downtimes.
