Induction soldering | TRUMPF

Induction soldering

Induction heating has been used for years for soft and hard soldering as well as for welding especially for longitudinally welded tubes.

High-temperature soldering

Induction soldering is used for both soft and hard soldered joints. Scaling on workpieces can be reduced to a minimum by short soldering times. Completely scale-free soldering joints can be achieved under shielding gas. As heating of the component is only local, the impact on neighboring areas is minimal. Special features of induction soldering are the automation capability and high reproducibility. In conjunction with pyrometric temperature control, the correct soldering temperature can be precisely determined by solder liquefaction during induction soldering. This increases process reliability.
