    Precision laser for delicate work

    The TruFiber fiber laser cuts and welds fine contours with great precision. It produces narrow kerfs and slim welding seams with high quality and a high processing speed. It does so because of its excellent beam quality: the fiber resonator provides a highly focused laser light with basic-mode beam quality. Typical areas of application for the TruFiber include medical technology, precision engineering and precision mechanics, electrical engineering, and electronics.

    Full functionality

    The 19-inch housing of the TruFiber 500 W laser contains all of the components that you will need for smooth and simple operation. They are also available in stand-alone versions with an integrated compressor cooler.

    Flexible precision

    The high basic-mode beam quality of the TruFiber provides a high level of irradiance on the workpiece. Combined with correspondingly designed systems, this enables high processing speeds. With a typical focal diameter of 10 μm to 100 μm, the TruFiber makes it possible to cut and weld very precise contours. Almost any pulse form and modulation frequencies of up to 50 kHz provide a very high level of flexibility in material processing.

    With TRUMPF you have the ability to adapt your solid-state laser to your installation and operating situation with flexibility. This applies, for example, to all beam guidance components and the control. You also have several options for cooling the laser. Interfaces for different optics are provided right from the start. The TRUMPF Remote Service helps you to ensure your system remains available, anywhere and at any time.

    TruFiber as a stand-alone version
    Stand-alone design

    The stand-alone solution offers you a complete turnkey laser unit in a cabinet with an integrated water-air chiller. Due to the compact footprint of the overall device, the stand-alone version is easy to integrate into laser systems. Compared to the 19" version, this variant is more dust and moisture-tight. The stand-alone version is available for the TruFiber 500.

    Convenient and flexible control

    The TruFiber can be equipped with virtually all standard fieldbus interfaces for control and actuation. The following are also available: real-time interface, parallel digital I/O, OPC UA software interface, and analog input boards.

    The TruFiber has an interface to connect TRUMPF processing optics, such as the PFO 20.
    Interface for intelligent optics

    Intelligent optics can be synchronized with your laser via a dedicated interface. For example, the CFO focusing optics or PFO scanner optics can be used to best suit your requirements. You can program the processing optics easily via the laser control system. You do not need any additional PCs or control systems.

    Remote Service

    In the event of an error, TRUMPF service experts will remotely access your laser via a secure remote connection. In many cases the fault can be remedied directly in this way, or the configuration of the laser can be modified in a way that permits you to continue manufacturing until the spare part arrives.

    CutAssist

    The CutAssist option can assist you with precision cutting and welding. Due to the automatic adjustment of the laser parameters to the feed rate, you can even process corners and sharp curves precisely without having to search for the parameters again. CutAssist prevents burning in corners and burr formation when machining fine structures.

    Intuitive operation as a result of the TruControl control

    TruControl

    TruControl is the quick and easy-to-use control for TRUMPF solid-state lasers. It regulates the laser power in real time in order to deliver reproducible results. Additional modules are specifically tailored to the requirements of the TruFiber: The CutAssist option automatically adapts the laser parameters to the speed of the guidance system. In order to ensure that parts are traceable, the DataStore module records all quality-related data.

    If external controls are present, TruControl will communicate with them via all standard interfaces. Inputs are made via the touchscreen of the operating panel or panel of a panel PC. You can integrate your laser into the network via Ethernet and connect multiple PCs.

    The TRUMPF sensor systems mean that your production will always be both efficient and cost-effective. The sensor products VisionLine, CalibrationLine or integrated pyrometers ensure stable processes by monitoring all the procedures in laser production, making a significant contribution towards your process reliability. Processing continues unimpeded during the measurement – no interruptions are required, saving you valuable production time.
