Culture and social issues

Engaging in society is part of our culture as a family company. We want to shape the topics that our society will be faced with in future by working together. By supporting cultural and artistic projects, we want to create an inspiring and innovative environment. We provide support either financially, or through memberships, ideas, knowledge, and time.

TRUMPF supports carefully selected cultural institutions and creatives in the regions where we operate. In doing so, we make our locations more attractive – both for our employees and for the general public. Our engagement safeguards cultural gems for the next generation.

Exhibits and museums

We support the technology communication at the Deutsches Museum in Munich with exhibits relating to our fields. We also support the Landesmuseum Württemberg, the Linden-Museum Stuttgart, and the Staatsgalerie in Stuttgart.

Ars Electronica

Ars Electronica is a festival that brings together art, technology, and society. It takes place annually in the city of Linz in Upper Austria. TRUMPF in Pasching, Upper Austria, supports the initiative, as industrial developments in automation and control technology are skillfully made accessible to a wide audience here.

Social engagement

TRUMPF employees with disabilities working together

Our involvement in social projects is guided by the particular social requirements in the regions where TRUMPF operates. We explicitly encourage our employees to engage in society and shape the conditions for their own personal commitment. On a regional level, the employees at our subsidiaries address the concerns and issues at their respective site. TRUMPF also works together with organizations for people with disabilities and with other social institutions.

Support for refugees

Our employees are active in many ways in helping refugees to take the first steps in their new home. Our German locations have welcomed refugees from Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria as employees or interns. TRUMPF also created additional training positions for young refugees in 2016.

Inclusion Factory

The Inclusion Factory in Taicang is a workshop for people with disabilities and is similar to the concept of inclusive disability support in Germany. TRUMPF China cooperates with the nonprofit organization and provides their employees with work clothing and safety shoes.
