TRUMPF Inc. Laser Division Welcomes Eliana Fu as Industry Manager for Aerospace and Medical
FARMINGTON, Conn., February 2, 2021 –Eliana Fu has joined TRUMPF Inc.’s Laser division as industry manager, aerospace and medical. In this role, Eliana will report directly to Pat Grace, general industry sales manager for TRUMPF Inc. laser division in North America.
With strong backgrounds in Additive Manufacturing and Traditional Manufacturing, Eliana holds both a master’s degree and PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Imperial College, University of London. She previously spent 8 years as R & D services engineer at Titanium Metals (TIMET) and has also worked for Firth Rixson and TWI Ltd (UK). She has spent the last few years working in the space flight industry at SpaceX and more recently with Relativity Space. There, as senior engineer for additive technologies, she immersed herself fully into 3D printing and Additive Manufacturing. Eliana has also completed MITxPro certificates in Additive Manufacturing for Innovative Design and Production (2019) and Leadership Principles for Scientists, Engineers and Researchers (2020).
Eliana is currently a member of ASTM F42 Additive Manufacturing committee, sub-group “Spaceflight” F42.07.02 as well as participating as an advisor on Mayor of Los Angeles, Eric Garcetti’s, Advanced Manufacturing committee. She is also co-ambassador for the Los Angeles chapter of Women in 3D Printing, a STEM volunteer for USC Viterbi School’s K12 STEM program and regularly participates in other educational STEM outreach programs.
In her new role, Eliana will oversee the day-today activities of TRUMPF’s Aerospace and Medical industries. She will also provide customers with technical expertise to help ensure their TRUMPF laser technology is utilized optimally.
