Milling head: 3D printing on preform

Tool and mold making TruPrint Tool steel Maraging steel Additive manufacturing

"Preform Advanced" enables hybrid production of milling tools on conventionally manufactured preforms. The sensor-based alignment between the PBF component and preform takes place fully automatically. High alignment accuracy and high reproducibility are guaranteed. Production is cost-efficient and time-efficient thanks to the ability to combine different manufacturing technologies. In this case, the complex functional area of the milling head is optimized in terms of topology and printed on an inexpensively produced cylindrical preform. Up to 25 milling tools fit on one plate.
