AXOOM gets new managing director

Ditzingen, March 23, 2018 – On March 20, 2018, Tom Tischner took over as the head of AXOOM GmbH. The wholly owned TRUMPF subsidiary based in Karlsruhe provides machine manufacturers and manufacturing companies across sectors with digital solutions for industry. “I’m delighted to have the privilege of heading up a company that calls for both mechanical engineering and IT expertise,” says Tischner. Tischner was previously head of Sales and Implementation at AXOOM, and will be reporting directly to Mathias Kammüller, Chief Digital Officer at TRUMPF.

AXOOM connects vendor-independent machines, sensors and software as well as entire manufacturing value creation chains. Data is made transparent thanks to a cloud-based IoT platform, and can be used for the ongoing development and optimization of industry. The company currently employs around 100 people.
