Components are often contaminated, oxidized, or coated with protective layers before joining. Lasers provide a solution: This non-contact tool removes dirt, oxidation, and protective layers from components in seconds.

During structuring, the laser creates regularly arranged geometries and surfaces. The individual elements of such a structure are often only a few micrometers in size. This type of laser structuring is suitable for adhesive devices or metal-plastic bonds, for example.

The laser removes paint and functional layers from components, creating a clean surface. The laser is used only where, for example, joining is required or the functional layer is no longer needed.

In microproduction technology, short-pulse and ultra-short-pulse lasers are used wherever controlled, high-precision processing with reproducible results is required.
