TRUMPF opens the new Smart Factory in Ditzingen

In the Smart Factory based at the head office, TRUMPF produces sheet metal parts for their machine tools over an area spanning 5000 square meters. The new fully networked factory also serves as a Customer Center providing particularly small and medium-sized companies a glimpse into efficient sheet metal processing. This makes Ditzingen the third company site with a fully networked factory, alongside Chicago in the USA and Taicang in China.

TRUMPF's Supervisory Board appoints Oliver Maassen as the Personnel Group Manager, taking effect from 1 October 2020.

TRUMPF turns 100

This year, TRUMPF is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Founded in 1923, the name TRUMPF now represents the cutting edge in industrial sheet metal processing and laser technology. And for pioneering technologies of the future.

Changes in the Supervisory Board and the Managing Board

In the year of the company's 100th anniversary, TRUMPF is undergoing restructuring through changes in the management committees. At the beginning of the new 2023/24 fiscal year, Peter Leibinger left the Managing Board and took over the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board from Jürgen Hambrecht, who retired from his appointment after 10 years. In addition, Christian Schmitz retired from the Managing Board. The previous managing directors of TRUMPF Laser in Schramberg and TRUMPF Photonic Components in Ulm were appointed as new Board members: Berthold Schmidt succeeded Peter Leibinger in his role as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) on the TRUMPF Board. Hagen Zimer took over the Board for the laser technology business division.
