TRUMPF invests 16 million euros in new French headquarters in Villepinte near Paris // Machine tools and laser solutions for French industry // Sustainable new construction on a site covering 5,000 square meters

Ditzingen/Villepinte (Seine-Saint-Denis), France, September 18, 2026 – The international high-tech company TRUMPF opened its new French headquarters in Villepinte yesterday, about twenty kilometers northeast of Paris. The company invested 16.1 million euros in the new building, which is located on a site covering more than 5,000 square meters. With this move, TRUMPF is strengthening its business in France and further expanding its product offerings in the areas of machine tools and laser technology. “France is an important market for TRUMPF. With our new headquarters, we’re investing in the future of our customers and creating a place where modern manufacturing technologies and personal exchange come together,” says Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller, CEO of TRUMPF. In addition to the CEO, other members of the TRUMPF Executive Board as well as the German Ambassador to France, Stephan Steinlein, attended the grand opening.

A showcase for digitalization and connectivity

TRUMPF’s technologies are used in numerous industries, such as the semiconductor industry, aerospace, and sheet metal processing. There, the company’s lasers enable the precise cutting, welding, drilling, or marking of complex components. In the automotive industry, machine tools process sheet metal body and structural parts, while lasers handle high-precision cutting and welding tasks. In the new showroom in Villepinte, customers can experience TRUMPF machine tools and lasers in operation and learn about digital software solutions and services. “The new location enables us to support companies on their path toward connected manufacturing. Digital solutions, robotics, and artificial intelligence are key to optimizing machine utilization, increasing process transparency, and boosting the competitiveness of our French customers,” says Stephan Mayer, CEO of TRUMPF machine tools.

45 years of TRUMPF in France

In addition to the showroom, the new building features a spacious training area. “In Villepinte, we bring our customers and our teams together. A close connection to the manufacturing industry has shaped TRUMPF France for more than 45 years,” says Gilles Caquot, President of TRUMPF France. The French subsidiary employs 160 people. In the 2025/2026 fiscal year, it generated sales in the low three-digit millions. In addition to its headquarters in Villepinte, TRUMPF in France operates a production facility in Hagenau, in Alsace.

Sustainable industrial design

The new headquarters is constructed using a wood-concrete structure and spans approximately 2,700 square meters usable area across several floors. The property covers approximately 5,000 square meters. TRUMPF commissioned the Berlin-based architectural firm Barkow Leibinger to design its French headquarters, which combines offices, seminar rooms, storage areas, and a showroom. 80 photovoltaic modules on the roof have an installed capacity of 33.2 kilowatts. Thirteen geothermal probes, each 140 meters long, use the heat stored in the ground to heat the building.

In addition to Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller, CEO of TRUMPF, other members of the TRUMPF Executive Board, and Stephan Steinlein, the German Ambassador to France, attended the grand opening.
