New cordless high-power screwdrivers

Ditzingen, February 2018 – From now on, TRUMPF has new screwdrivers in its product range. In addition to the well-known TruTool DD 1010 with an 10.8 V lithium-ion drive, the company launches three other models with an 18 V lithium-ion drive and a brushless motor: the TruTool DD 1813 drill driver, the TruTool HD 1813 hammer drill and the TruTool ID 1861 impact driver.  

The powerful screwdrivers are suitable for light and heavy screwing and drilling work and are used by professionals from the industry, construction and metalworking, wood and masonry. With their 18 V lithium-ion drive, they belong to the high-power class and provide high speeds while simultaneously retaining a low weight and a small size.  

In order to achieve particularly long battery run time, TRUMPF offers its new screwdrivers with durable 5 Ah lithium ion batteries, which are ideal for continuous use. Alternatively, there are small, light and handy 2 Ah lithium-ion batteries, which show their advantages especially in tight spaces. Both lithium-ion batteries are compatible with all 18 V battery machines from TRUMPF and therefore allow universal use.  

Drill driver and hammer drill have 15 or 21 levels and generate torques of 25 Nm in soft and 56.5 Nm in hard materials. The maximum speeds is 560 rpm in the first gear and 1900 rpm in the second gear. The TruTool ID 1861 impact driver  achieves torques of up to 155 Nm and speeds of up to 2500 rpm, which can be combined in three levels changed to one of the 3 settings.  

Based on these output data and thanks to a 13 mm quick-release drill chuck, it is possible to drill up to 32 mm in wood and up to 13 mm in steel with the 1.6 kg TruTool DD 1813 drill driver. It can also be used for screwing and tapping. The The 100 g heavier TruTool HD 1813 hammer drill, handles these tasks in the same way. It also has an impact function, which is required for drilling in masonry.  

The impact driver TruTool ID 1861 weighing merely 1.4 kg is the lightweight champion of the new TruTools. With a 1/4" anvil hexagon socket, it is designed for the direct replacement of different bits. The machine impresses with particularly high torques and impact function, which is characterized by particularly low kickback and thus ensures ergonomic and fatigue-free working.   All three new TRUMPF screwdrivers are equipped with an LED light that illuminates the work area well. In addition: The screwdrivers have a quick stop, which triggers automatically in case of overload or jammed tools. This makes safe working possible and prevents over-tightening of the screws.
