TRUMPF Werkzeugmaschinen Teningen GmbH

2015 - today

EHT becomes TRUMPF

The contracts with the Theisen family were signed in December 2014, TRUMPF officially took over EHT in the spring of 2015. The company's name was changed to "TRUMPF Werkzeugmaschinen Teningen GmbH" on 1 July 2015. With its long-standing tradition and competence, the Teningen site became the custom machine manufacturer for bending machines and guillotine shears within the TRUMPF Group. Products still sold as part of the EHT brand were given an additional logo: Member of the TRUMPF Group.

A large-scale portfolio

The first bending machine series in the TRUMPF design was finished in time for the Blechexpo 2015: the TruBend Series 8000. It is the flexible large-format machine, can be customized in line with customer requirements. A tandem version was added in 2017. The product portfolio in 2015 also included machines from the EHT brand. In subsequent years, bending machines from the VarioPress and ProfiPress series were carried over successively into the TruBend series.

Portfolio expansion

In 2016, production of the loading system for TRUMPF laser tube-cutting machines was moved to Teningen. On 7 June 2018, the 100th LoadMaster Tube unit came off the assembly line.

New development across 3,700 square meters

Preparations for the construction of a new assembly hall started at the beginning of 2017. Many of the old halls were demolished to make room for a new storage facility as well as a modern production hall covering an area of 3,700 square meters. Tobias Oberle (general contractor for the building project, FREYLER), Reinhold Groß (Managing Director of TRUMPF Teningen at the time), Patricia Garcia (architect, FREYLER), Heinz-Rudolf Hagenacker (Mayor of Teningen), Joachim Saar (representative of the Mayor of Emmendingen) and Michael Fischer (plant manager of TRUMPF Teningen) met on 24 March 2017 for the symbolic ground-breaking ceremony.

Opening of new buildings

After approximately one year of construction, the new storage facility, new offices as well as a modern production hall were opened on 20 June 2018. The hall houses the main assembly line of the bending machines and automation units for the laser tube-cutting machines manufactured on the site. TRUMPF invested close to seven million euros altogether. The symbolic opening ribbon was cut by Michael Fischer (plant manager of TRUMPF Teningen), Tobias Oberle (general contractor for the building project, FREYLER), Heinz-Rudolf Hagenacker (Mayor of Teningen), Christof Lehner (former managing director of TRUMPF Teningen), Joachim Saar (representative of the Mayor of Emmendingen) and Michael Kempf (project leader for the building project, FREYLER).

Integration in the bending machine group

Five years after TRUMPF purchased the site, the focus is clearly on bending machines, solutions for special customized applications, such as automation or tandem systems, as well as the LoadMaster Tube loading units. The inclusion of the company into the bending machine group, which also includes the Pasching (Austria) und Lonigo (Italy) production sites, concluded the integration of the Southern German site into the TRUMPF Group on 1 July 2020. Industrial history and modern spirit combined

A milestone for companies on the path to Industry 4.0 is an open standard for real-time localization in production halls. omlox is precisely such a standard which - for the first time in one location zone - can be used to network products from different manufacturers and to easily connect different location technologies. This new technology is tested and demonstrated in Teningen. This is how the site unites modern spirit with 250 years of industrial history.
