Sida Han, product manager for TruConnect solutions at TRUMPF China, accompanies customers to approach new brave ideas for the future.

At the end of 2015, Sida Han joined TRUMPF China immediately after graduating with his Master's degree. Initially he worked as an assistant to the managing director before ultimately becoming the product manager for the TruConnect solutions two years later. The interest in automated, intelligent manufacturing solutions is also growing in China - and that’s where Sida comes in. He advises Chinese customers to develop exact Smart Factory solutions and participates in extensive automation projects. "Overcoming limits and exploiting potential – This is what I help my customers do. I really enjoy this," says Sida.

Bravely convincing customers to join the digital transformation

His biggest challenge in everyday life? To convince customers of radical concepts! According to Sida, many want to stick to their tried and tested production operations. It takes a lot of patience and courage to convince them to take the path into the digital age and to recognize the advantages of an investment. Sida regularly organizes trips to Germany to show his customers TRUMPF's main production area and the TruConnect Forum in Ditzingen. In this way, he gains their trust in TRUMPF as a sustainable partner. "What fascinates me most about my work is that time when a customer has dared to take the first step and then realizes successes are possible in the future - that's " says Sida.

Communication based on trust as a recipe for success

"I enjoy a great deal of freedom while I’m working. This is the only way I can support my customers," says Sida. In his team there is a good working climate for an open and unbiased exchange of ideas. The biggest key to a successful project is found however in communication. He tries to rule out problems right from the start of the project through discussions among equals, based on trust. He exchanges information intensively both with his customers and with his colleagues in China and Germany. "I'm good at finding solutions instead of seeing problems," says Sida confidently.
