The TRUMPF Group closed the 2025/26 fiscal year on June 30, 2026 with an increased order intake and significantly higher profit than in the previous year . This makes us optimistic about the current fiscal year.
Our order intake increased by 7 percent compared to 2025 (4.2 billion euros) to 4.5 billion euros, while revenue, at 4.3 billion euros, was only slightly above the prior-year level due to the still subdued economic climate at the start of the fiscal year. Above all, however, operating profits improved significantly to 476 million euros, compared to 59 million euros in the prior year. The EBIT margin increased significantly from 1.4 percent to 11.0 percent.
We attribute this excellent result to the streamlining of our portfolio, combined with focusing on high-margin products and business units. And also consistent cost management. Through our joint efforts as a group, we have succeeded in saving more than 600 million euros. That said, the past twelve months have certainly been hard work for staff – I am deliberately avoiding an overused word such as "challenging". Especially, since we were forced to cut jobs around the world. With our crisis program "Koyer", we have regained the necessary stability and capacity to act. This is a great achievement that we, as a company, can rightly be proud of.
Despite the challenging geopolitical environment, TRUMPF has remained a highly innovative company that is breaking new ground as part of its growth strategy. This includes the semiconductor business unit, which this Annual Report focuses on. Together with our global partners, the semiconductor market is a key growth driver for TRUMPF. Amid all the excitement about AI and new business model ideas, one thing is sometimes overlooked: We also need outstanding hardware, as without it no chips in smartphones, data centers, or the cellular network would work. TRUMPF rightly sees itself at the forefront of this movement: as an enabler of the digital future.
I hope you enjoy reading this and wish you all the best, especially in light of the many global challenges of our time.
Yours truly, Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller
