With its small 55-µm laser beam diameter, the TruPrint 2000 provides a high-quality printing result which impresses with its surface quality and level of detail. It offers a build volume (cylinder) of 200 mm in diameter and a height of 200 mm. The fullfield multilaser with two 300-watt fiber lasers from TRUMPF – which scan the entire build area – delivers top productivity. Melt Pool Monitoring and comprehensive process monitoring ensure the highest quality standards. The production process with the TruPrint 2000 is a closed powder circuit under shielding gas. This allows for easy and practical handling, with the highest operator safety.

TruPrint 2000 with powder preparation station

The inert machine concept of the TruPrint 2000 with powder preparation station, provides extremely easy powder and parts handling under shielding gas. This is how the printed component is inertly unpacked directly in the machine with the integrated powder feeder. The excess powder is collected in the overflow bin. This is placed in the powder preparation station, to sieve the powder for reuse into the supply cylinder, under shielding gas. The powder circuit closes so the user does not come into contact with the powder.

After the LMF process, the finished component separates from the powder within the process chamber with the integrated powder feeder. The substrate plate size of 200 mm in diameter allows for simple and practical handling inside the machine. With this, the necessary periphery is limited to a minimum: industrial powder management with the powder preparation station.

Fullfield multilaser

The fullfield multilaser (2 x 300 W) enables exposure of all lasers in the entire build volume, which reduces production times per component. To achieve maximum precision, calibration of the multi-laser scan fields is performed fully automatically. Additionally, the 55-µm beam diameter allows you to achieve a very high surface quality and level of detail. The low degree of surface roughness also saves you the need for refinishing.

Deviations in the laser metal fusion process can be detected early on via sensors, and critical areas of the component can be seen. It's also possible to monitor all weld pools in parallel – this is especially helpful with the fullfield multilaser option. Melt Pool Monitoring reduces the effort required for the application and development of certified processes with verification requirements. Quality assurance is supplemented with Powder Bed Monitoring as well as the status data of the machine.

The TruPrint 2000 enables industrial processing of amorphous metals. These metals feature exceptional strength combined with high elasticity, corrosion resistance and biocompatibility. Extremely delicate cooling channels such as those found in tool inserts with conformal temperature control can be printed using the 55-µm beam diameter of the TruPrint 2000. This improves cooling of the injection molding tool, which allows the cycle time for manufacturing gearwheels to be significantly reduced.

The TruPrint 2000 enables you to manufacture individual implants that meet the highest quality standards in a specialist production environment. High-precision components using the Ti6Al4VELI material can be printed cost-effectively within a very short time using an "on demand" system, also as series production when required.

Expansion sleeve

A printed expansion sleeve made of the amorphous metal AMLOY ZR01 (AMZ4) is lightweight, which is made possible by the material's high elasticity and strength, especially when compared to crystalline materials. The modern user interface summarizes all functionalities in a clear overview and facilitates quick access to all functions. Multilaser option

Increase your productivity with the multilaser option: two TRUMPF fiber lasers, each with an output of 300 W and a 55-µm beam diameter can expose simultaneously in the build area and generate up to 80% more parts in the same time with flexibility. As such, you can ensure that parts are available more quickly and maximize flexibility when processing customer orders. As every contour is exposed by a laser, no "seam marks" are created. With the fullfield multilaser you can achieve 100% overlap coverage. The Automatic Multilaser Alignment option automatically monitors and calibrates the multilaser scan fields to each other during an ongoing build job to ensure optimum quality of the multilaser components.

Powder Bed Monitoring option

You can automatically monitor the powder bed via an integrated camera in the TruPrint component chamber and the automatic image processing function. This means that you have a constant overview of the state of the component and can analyze the quality parameters layer-by-layer.

Using TRUMPF's intelligent monitoring solutions, you can monitor, analyze and calibrate the LFM process of the TruPrint machines with ease. You can then produce even more efficiently and achieve higher component quality. The professional monitoring process makes it possible to display and analyze sensor-based data. The offer comprises solutions for monitoring the process, condition, and performance. The monitoring results can be seen directly on the HMI of the TruPrint machine or can be analyzed offline via the Monitoring Analyzer. With TruTops Monitor, you get full transparency along with the option to have remote access via a PC or tablet. Furthermore, the OPC UA interface provides full flexibility to connect to your own software solution. With the additionally available calibration functions, you can check the process-relevant parameters for optimal production conditions before the start of the build job.
