What makes the Flex Cell with TruBend 7050 stand out
With the Flex Cell, you can operate the TruBend 7050 manually or automatically. The mobile robot cell can be connected and disconnected in just a few minutes. This makes it easy to transition to automated manufacturing while continuing to operate the machine manually as needed.
TecZone Bend generates a suggested bending program from 2D or 3D data in seconds, whether in the office or directly at the machine. You can amend it at any time, for example, if you want to use different tools, grippers, or gripping points. Real-time collision checks immediately show how changes affect the bending process. This eliminates the need for time-consuming and tedious recalculations and significantly reduces programming time. This makes it possible to automate even small lot sizes cost-effectively.
Make the most of every production shift: Thanks to its high loading capacity, the Flex Cell processes up to 2,500 parts almost autonomously. This makes it possible to produce during additional shifts or even at weekends.
With a footprint of less than 10 m², the combination of Flex Cell and TruBend 7050 takes up only about half as much space as a single-car garage. This makes it suitable for many production facilities and enables automation even in spaces where every square meter counts.
Tools that fit into the system
TRUMPF bending tools are not only tailored to the machine and software, but are also digitally integrated into them. Stored tool data makes programming and set up easier for you. Laser-hardened surfaces ensure the tools are durable and help maintain consistent part quality. We will provide you with the right tool for your application, either from our standard product line or as a custom-made product. You can order or request both of these 24/7 through the MyTRUMPF E-Shop.
For recurring bending tasks, TRUMPF offers an exceptionally broad portfolio of standard tools, many of which are available in a variety of common designs on short notice. This also includes specially developed solutions for specific requirements, such as dies with wear-resistant inserts or tools for mark-free bending. This will ensure you can find a solution even for bending tasks for which other suppliers do not offer comparable tools in their standard product range. At the same time, the tool data is stored digitally in the machine and software, thus simplifying programming and set up.
If standard tools are not sufficient for your bending part, we will develop the appropriate special tool and provide the tool data for the machine and programming at the same time. Upon request, we can test the tool in advance directly on your sheet metal, thus taking specific material properties into account.
When high angular accuracy is required, sensor tools take measurements directly during the bending process and automatically correct deviations. With an angular accuracy of ±0.3°, they are particularly well-suited for precision bending and small flanges, where optical measurement reaches its limits. This reduces rework and rejects, which is particularly beneficial during series production.
TRUMPF has developed the CDW (Consistent Die Width) standard die series for short flanges, delicate surfaces, and frequently changing bending operations. The special die geometry, with rounded entry radii, allows flanges to be up to 25% shorter and facilitates angle measurement with angle sensor ACB. At the same time, the sheet metal slides into the die more easily. This reduces marks and protects the bending film. Consistent die widths also make it possible to combine different CDW lower tools during setup, thus reducing tool changes and setup times.
When manual tool changes are frequent, lightweight bending tools reduce the operator's workload and make set up easier. They weigh more than 30% less than standard upper tools, but offer the same load capacity and precision. For tool lengths up to 300 mm, the Safety-Click mechanism further simplifies assembly and reduces setup time.
When bending aluminum or galvanized sheet metal, material debris can accumulate on the tool and cause marks on subsequent parts. The LASERdur AL coating for aluminum and the LASERdur ZN coating for galvanized sheet metal protect against such buildup and ensure good sliding properties. This reduces indentations and ensures consistently accurate bending results. In addition, the coated tools are corrosion-resistant and do not need to be cleaned.
Something you can rely on
A machine will support your manufacturing operations for many years. It is good if you can count on the supply partner for just as long. We will help you get the most out of your machine from the start. And we will be right by your side if you want to further develop your manufacturing processes or need support with day-to-day operations.
