The new generation of the TruBend Series 8000 bends your large-format components at high speed and with enormous efficiency. It comes with a variety of additional options and bending aids that make processing heavy, long and tall workpieces easier. The TruBend Series 8000 is a major advantage if you are bending large components in small quantities. This particularly applies to industries such as automotive, mechanical engineering and building technology. High box heights, easy removal
With an installation height of 880 millimeters, workpieces with large box heights can also be accommodated. Machine operators can easily bend and remove the workpieces. Another plus: Thanks to the 700 millimeter stroke, all TRUMPF standard tools are compatible without an adapter.
Bend large, thin components
Thanks to the large bending length of 4.40 meters, the TruBend Series 8000 bending machines are suitable for both large and heavy components as well as long, thinner components.
Save setup time
Station bending is practical. It allows you to utilize different upper and lower tools next to each other and process different components and bends without having to retool each time.

Precision and flexibility
Sensor disks integrated in the upper tool measure and correct every angle. The user-friendly ACB (Automatically Controlled Bending) Wireless automatically detects the position of the sensors, and the tool and control communicate wirelessly.
The ACB Laser is an optical system for angle measurement. Without contact, the laser projects a line onto the sheet, and a camera detects the angle. For this, two measuring units are automatically moved to the right position.
Up to 6 CNC-controlled backgauge axes position your workpieces precisely and securely. Optionally, these are also available in a particularly robust heavy-duty version.
The automatic crowning works precisely down to the last detail. At a distance of 250 millimeters, you can adjust the crowning curve exactly to your bending task if desired. The crowning has a load capacity of up to 6,000 kN/m.
One tool, two different bending processes: the lower tool displacement makes it possible. In concrete terms, this means: You increase your part variety and save setup time and investment costs. The lower tool displacement enables special applications, such as folding.
The new TruBend Series 8000 operates sustainably with the optional On-Demand Drive. The revolution speed of the motor is automatically adjusted to the press beam movement. This way you save up to 26 percent on energy and can perform bending work quietly and comfortably.
Handle heavy components easily: continuous height-adjustable support brackets make it possible. The robust support brackets each have a load capacity up to 300 kg and are available with different supports.
The bending aid with automatic height adjustment supports the bending personnel, especially when bending heavy or large parts. The heavy-duty version has a load capacity of up to 300 kilograms.
The handy MobileControl and MobileControl Pro operating units can be attached to a communications rail in the press beam along the entire bending length. This means you always have important functions under control, with no unnecessary trips required.
An additional screen on the machine control simplifies operation. With its help, you can use the shop floor programming and produce at the same time, for example. Both are paperless processes, because the screen shows you all the relevant information.
The new control and navigation of the TruBend Series 8000 combines the advantages of modern multi-touch technology with industrial-grade robustness. This makes operating your bending machine as simple and intuitive as using a tablet or smartphone - and allows you to make almost every application a reality.
Additional LEDs provide the operator area with optimal illumination. At the same time, they prevent heat generation that is bothersome for the personnel.
Set up in no time: The LED bar in the upper tool clamp shows exactly where the tool stations should be set up. It also shows the current machine status and displays which tool station the next bend is to be carried out on. The illuminated signs save unnecessary trips to the control panel.
The bending line lasers enable you to correctly align the parts to be bent. For this purpose, the system projects a laser line onto the sheet metal, which serves as a visual guide for the operator during bending. The added value: Less rejects, more productivity. The bending line laser also enables so-called bending on a scribed line, i.e. bending without the support of the backgauge system, thus resulting in more work area.

During setup, tools are simply slid in and out of the machine, something that is particularly useful for heavy tools, saving time. The ToolShuttle has space for nearly 200 feet of tools and ensures everything is organized.
You can choose between more than 150 upper and lower tool types for your personal range. You can order tools individually or as a set.
During the processing of galvanized sheets, even after just a few bends, there may be zinc deposits on the die, resulting in cold welding. This causes imprints on the component and imprecision. This can be avoided with the TRUMPF LASERdur ZN bending tools. These combine a high level of surface hardness with excellent sliding properties, are corrosion resistant, and do not need to be cleaned.

Automation solution with Starmatik
With the robot on a movable transverse rail, the TruBend 8000 can bend sheets up to eight meters in length with a maximum weight of 220 kilograms fully automated. The configuration is tailored to your needs. If required, you can add a storage connection, centering station, gripper and tool changing along with a regripping station and other sheet processing systems, such as joining or thermoforming.
