With the TruLaser Cell Series 7040 laser system you have everything you need – regardless of whether you want to process two or three-dimensional components or tubes. You can change flexibly between cutting, welding and laser metal deposition. The modular setup of the machine, as well as the option of individual adjustment and retrofitting, enable you to optimally customize the TruLaser Cell Series 7040 to a modified production environment and to react to changing customer requirements with flexibility.

Cost-effective production

Your processing times are noticeably reduced through top machine dynamics, piercing on-the-fly with FastLine Cell, and dynamic cutting optics. For larger quantities, you can also load and unload parallel to production using two-station operation and the rotary table. The lightning-fast front door made from glass fiber composites also significantly reduces non-productive times and ensures fast access to the work area.

Choose between differently sized working areas depending on your needs. The electrical cabinets are integrated directly into the machine frame. In this context, the TruLaser Cell 7040 fiber sets the benchmark in terms of compact dimensions.

Simple and convenient operation

The ergonomic control panel is attached to the machine cabin, saving space. It can be rotated and operated from the cabin, or can be moved along the entire front of the machine. The 6D mouse makes it easy to run-in, teach, and move the axes quickly. The control automatically detects which optics are installed so that they can be changed quickly and without error.

Utmost process flexibility

The 2-in-1 LLK developed for operation with solid-state lasers makes welding, cutting and laser metal deposition possible with only one laser light cable. To switch between the three processes, you simply need to change the processing optics and the system control adapts automatically to the laser beam. Not only do you achieve the best processing results, but your system is also easier to operate and can be used for significantly more applications.

In the automotive industry in particular, components are frequently produced from galvanized steel to protect the components against corrosion. Using the TruLaser Cell Series 7040, you can cut galvanized steel sheets quickly and to an extremely high quality level. The machine also enables you to react optimally to changes and to adapt the component accordingly. This increases flexibility, which is above all important in the field of prototype construction and pre-series production.

The openings and trimming of the deep-drawn component are carried out using the TruLaser Cell Series 7040. Especially for small quantities, processing with conventional punching tools is often too expensive. With the TruLaser Cell Series 7040, you can cut all of the required contours extremely quickly, reducing production costs.

Compared to alternative processes, such as milling, the TruLaser Cell Series 7040 offers a cost-effective alternative for complex components. The machine laser cuts all the outer contours and creates the through holes.

TruTops Cell provides you with everything you need for the convenient programming of your 3D laser processing. Due to integrated standard optics, it covers laser cutting, laser welding, and laser metal deposition. It loads 3D CAD data via numerous interfaces, and corrects it if required. The system automatically creates cutting suggestions in all three dimensions. It also automatically suggests devices.

With TruTops Boost you can get the best out of your TruLaser Cell 7040. Automated processes and wizards make day-to-day working with TruTops simple and efficient. The system autonomously generates, for example, looping or roundings on corners, and generates piercing points and approach and return paths. The software positions the parts to be cut in the best possible way. In the process, TruTops Boost means that the laser machine automatically uses appropriate parameters. Interfaces to leading CAD systems allow parts drawings to be quickly imported. However, with an integrated design module you can also create drawings yourself in no time at all.

Software

The software portfolio from TRUMPF optimizes your entire production process – from the customer query to delivery of the finished part. TRUMPF combines the software intelligently with machines and services to create customized Industry 4.0 solutions for your Smart Factory.

The TruDisk is a high-power solid-state laser for the welding, cutting, and surface processing of metals. It impresses above all in situations which require the combination of high power and maximum beam quality.

Numerous options make working with the TruLaser Cell 7040 not only easier, but, due to reduced non-productive times, also noticeably quicker and therefore more productive.

Smart Optics Setup is a fixture attached to the machine base unit which cuts test sheets and readjusts the machine. Implementation is even easier due to standardized macros, saving time and money.

ObserveLine Professional

Minor nozzle collisions can cause minimal incorrect positioning of the cutting optics, invisible to the operator. This results in increased rejects and the associated costs. The ObserveLine Professional optical measuring procedure checks the positioning accuracy of the machine at regular, freely definable intervals, without the need for refitting and with virtually no effects on the cycle time. Incorrect positioning is detected and the number of rejects is reduced.

ObserveLine Comfort

There are various reasons why cutting slugs remain in the finished part. With the ObserveLine Comfort optical measuring process, you detect this error quickly since this option checks every contour for a complete cut. ObserveLine Comfort has several advantages compared to measurement using distance regulation. The process reduces the measuring time and you can even measure smaller hole diameters and angled punching slugs.

The intuitively operated image processing system VisionLine automatically detects geometric features on the component, such as joint gaps or edges. It corrects the NC processing program as required. This provides you with maximized process reliability, increased quality for your components, and savings in terms of time and costs.

Depending on the degree of automation of your production system, you can choose between different interface options. The Basic option reliably provides signals for production planning systems. With the Comfort option, you can implement more simple automation options independently. The Professional option is well-suited for highly automated production.
