The 19-inch housing of the TruFiber 500 W laser contains all of the components that you will need for smooth and simple operation. They are also available as stand-alone variants with an integrated compressor cooler.
The TruFiber fibre laser cuts and welds fine contours with great precision. It produces narrow kerfs and slim welding seams with high quality and a high processing speed. It does so because of its excellent beam quality: the fibre resonator provides a highly focused laser light with basic-mode beam quality. Typical areas of application for the TruFiber include medical technology, precision engineering and precision mechanics, electrical engineering and electronics.

Laser-cut crimp contacts and spring elements made of bronze, brass and stainless steel. Particularly with small series or series with a lot of variants, the laser process is usually more cost-effective in comparison with traditional processes, such as punching.

The TruFiber really shows its advantages with thin components and delicate contours. It can achieve kerfs of less than 30 µm.
TruFiber meets the high requirements that medical technology places on component precision. Precise, smooth cut contours are particularly important for laser-cut titanium implant systems, for example. This reduces reworking to a minimum.
With the TruFiber laser you can produce slim welding seams that are less than 100 µm wide and have no burr formation.

The TruFiber fibre laser enables you to produce liquid-tight and gas-tight welds. The seams that are produced meet the highest requirements for tightness, for example, for continuous wave seam welds on mobile phone batteries.

With TRUMPF you have the option to flexibly adapt your solid-state laser to your installation and operating situation. This applies, for example, to all beam guidance components and the control. You also have several options for cooling the laser. Interfaces for different optics are provided right from the start. The TRUMPF Remote Service helps you to ensure your systems remain available, anywhere and at any time.
The stand-alone solution offers you a complete turnkey laser unit in a cabinet with an integrated water-air compressor cooler. Thanks to the compact footprint of the overall device, the stand-alone version is easy to integrate into laser systems. Compared to the 19" variant, this variant is more dust and moisture-tight. The stand-alone version is available for the TruFiber 500.
The TruFiber can be equipped with virtually all standard fieldbus interfaces for control and actuation. The following are also available: real-time interface, parallel digital I/O, OPC UA software interface and analogue input boards.
Intelligent optics can be synchronised with your laser via a dedicated interface. This will allow you, for example, to use the CFO focusing optics or PFO scanner optics optimally for your purposes. You can program the processing optics easily using the laser control. You do not need any additional PCs or control systems.
In the event of a fault, TRUMPF service experts will remotely access your laser via a secure remote connection. In many cases the fault can be remedied directly in this way, or the configuration of the laser can be modified in a way that permits you to continue manufacturing until the spare part arrives.
The CutAssist option can assist you with precision cutting and welding. Due to the automatic adjustment of the laser parameters to the feed rate, you can even process corners and sharp curves precisely without having to search for the parameters again. CutAssist prevents burning in corners and burr formation when machining fine structures.
TruControl is the quick and easy-to-use control for TRUMPF solid-state lasers. It regulates the laser power in real time in order to deliver reproducible results. Additional modules are specially tailored to the requirements of the TruFiber. For example, the CutAssist option automatically adapts the laser parameters to the speed of the guidance system. In order to ensure that parts are traceable, the DataStore module records all quality-related data.
If external control systems are present, TruControl will communicate with them via all standard interfaces. Inputs are made via the touchscreen of the operating panel or via a panel PC. You can integrate your laser into the network via Ethernet and connect multiple PCs.
Thanks to the TRUMPF sensor system, your production will always be both effective and cost-effective. The sensor products VisionLine, CalibrationLine or integrated pyrometers ensure stable processes by monitoring all the procedures in laser production, thus making a key contribution to your process reliability. Processing continues uninterrupted during the measurement – no interruptions are required, saving you valuable production time.
TRUMPF VisionLine image processing detects features on the components and ensures that welding is always performed in the correct location.
The TRUMPF CalibrationLine tool checks and corrects the focal position and laser power on the workpiece at regular, individually definable intervals.
