Surface processing lasers

TRUMPF lasers process surfaces exactly as required – during cleaning, ablation or structuring. Precise control of power and process parameters means that our lasers adapt optimally to different materials and applications. This allows organic and inorganic residues to be reliably removed, coatings to be selectively ablated, or fine microstructures to be created. Processing is fast, gentle and material-efficient on all materials – whether metal, ceramic or glass. Typical fields of application include the automotive industry, electronics and medical technology, aerospace, the food industry and jewellery production.

TruMicro Series 2000

The TruMicro Series 2000 is designed to work on ultra-thin layers and sensitive materials. Adjustable pulse energy and frequencies open up a wide range of applications. The series can cut ultra-thin glass and films, an can also structure and mark metals – its ultra-short pulses are highly precise and extremely gentle on the material. Machine integration is exceptionally straightforward with the optional beam guidance via a hollow-core fiber.

The high average performance of the TruMicro Series 6000 is ideal for series production in 24/7 operation. The laser is available in many variants with different wavelengths and pulse energies up to 2 mJ, making it suitable for a broad range of applications – glass processing down into the millimetre range, engraving coated brake disks and cutting battery films, and display production with UV wavelength.

The beam profile of the TruMicro 7000 series lasers makes them ideal for large-scale ablation, cleaning and structuring. With high peak pulse power for short-pulse lasers, they are even suitable for applications on highly reflective surfaces. In addition, a laser source can be connected to up to four processing stations, which can be operated in parallel or individually.
