Your processing times are noticeably reduced through top machine dynamics, piercing on-the-fly with FastLine Cell, and dynamic cutting optics. For larger quantities, you can also load and unload parallel to production using two-station operation and the rotary table. The lightning-fast front door made from glass fiber composites also significantly reduces non-productive times and ensures fast access to the work area.
Modular and highly flexible design
With the TruLaser Cell Series 7040 laser system you have everything you need – regardless of whether you want to process two or three-dimensional components or tubes. You can change flexibly between cutting, welding and laser metal deposition. The modular setup of the machine, as well as the option of individual adjustment and retrofitting, enable you to optimally customize the TruLaser Cell Series 7040 to a modified production environment and to react to changing customer requirements with flexibility.
Due to top machine dynamics and numerous clever functions for optimizing the cycle time, you can process faster than ever.
The control panel (which can be moved over the machine's entire length) and the MobileControl app offer the greatest possible ergonomic comfort when operating the machine – from any position.
The X-Blast technology provides more robust processes during cutting, especially for complex geometries, and ensures a significantly higher nozzle service life.
Technology tables, guaranteed raw beam adjustment, as well as the patented BrightLine Weld guarantee perfect results when cutting and welding.
With a modern control concept and the OPC/UA communication interface, you are always ready to face the challenges of Industry 4.0.
The modular principle and the fact that the machine can be retrofitted enable you to individually configure the machine.

TruTops Cell
TruTops Cell provides you with everything you need for the convenient programming of your 3D laser processing. Due to integrated standard optics, it covers laser cutting, laser welding, and laser metal deposition. It loads 3D CAD data via numerous interfaces, and corrects it if required. The system automatically creates cutting suggestions in all three dimensions. It also automatically suggests devices.

TruTops Boost
With TruTops Boost you can get the best out of your TruLaser Cell 7040. Automated processes and wizards make day-to-day working with TruTops simple and efficient. The system autonomously generates, for example, looping or roundings on corners, and generates piercing points and approach and return paths. The software positions the parts to be cut in the best possible way. In the process, TruTops Boost means that the laser machine automatically uses appropriate parameters. Interfaces to leading CAD systems allow parts drawings to be quickly imported. However, with an integrated design module you can also create drawings yourself in no time at all.

Software
The extensive range of TruTops software supports you throughout the entire production process. Control your operational workflow in a simple and targeted manner, from managing your customer orders and purchasing processes to delivery of the produced parts. Through the direct coupling with the machine control, you can keep a constant eye on the status of your orders.
Depending on the application, you can choose from a wide range of TRUMPF CO2 and solid-state lasers and select the perfect one for your application. You can then combine this with the TruLaser Cell 7040.
Numerous options make working with the TruLaser Cell 7040 not only easier, but, due to reduced non-productive times, also noticeably quicker and therefore more productive.

A partition wall separates the work area into two spaces. This means that set-up, loading, unloading, and laser processing are possible at the same time in two-station operation, irrespective of the selected laser source (CO2 or solid-state laser).

You can optimize the TruLaser Cell Series 7040 specifically for highly productive series production using the rotational changer. You can increase productivity and ergonomics with just one loading and unloading position.

For easy loading and unloading of large components outside of the work area, the tables can be moved manually or automatically as desired.

With the MobileControl app from TRUMPF you can operate and monitor your machines easily and with flexibility as the app transmits the interface of the standard control panel onto the touch screen of your tablet PC. In addition to the static control panel, you have another option for monitoring and controlling your machine.

Benefit from virtually spatter-free laser welding and top welding seam quality with the BrightLine Weld option. You have the choice – increase your productivity considerably due to significantly increased feed rates, or reduce your energy costs by up to 40%. In doing so, you can reduce your machine downtimes and operating costs, as post-processing is reduced.

The Smart Approach function optimizes and improves the approach behavior of the machine when the edge of the component is pierced. This patented process reduces cycle time by up to 9%, while ensuring maximum process reliability.

Smart Optics Setup is a fixture attached to the machine base unit which cuts test sheets and readjusts the machine. Implementation is even easier due to standardized macros, saving time and money.
Minor nozzle collisions can cause minimal incorrect positioning of the cutting optics, invisible to the operator. This results in increased rejects and the associated costs. The ObserveLine Professional optical measuring procedure checks the positioning accuracy of the machine at regular, freely definable intervals, without the need for refitting and with virtually no effects on the cycle time. Incorrect positioning is detected and the number of rejects is reduced.

There are various reasons why cutting slugs remain in the finished part. With the ObserveLine Comfort optical measuring process, you detect this error quickly since this option checks every contour for a complete cut. ObserveLine Comfort has several advantages compared to measurement using distance regulation. The process reduces the measuring time and you can even measure smaller hole diameters and angled punching slugs.

The intuitively operated image processing system VisionLine automatically detects geometric features on the component, such as joint gaps or edges. It corrects the NC processing program as required. This provides you with maximized process reliability, increased quality for your components, and savings in terms of time and costs.
The Central Link is an interface package with which you can network your machinery and use Industry 4.0 applications. The OPC UA communication standard enables you to convey machine data, such as control variables, measured values, or parameters, and to describe them in machine-readable form.

Depending on the degree of automation of your production system, you can choose between different interface options. The Basic option reliably provides signals for production planning systems. With the Comfort option, you can implement more simple automation options independently. The Professional option is well-suited for highly automated production.
For all three solutions, you can profit from complete documentation and future upgrades, ensuring your standard software is always kept up to date.
