Diverse and powerful laser modules
A laser module made for integrators looking for ultimate precision and maximum adaptability. Thanks to versatile configuration options – including a range of power levels, selectable beam qualities and PulseTune™ options/pulse parameters – you can adapt the TruPulse nano exactly to your requirements.
What sets the TruPulse nano apart
TruPulse nano lasers are highly flexible laser modules with a wide range of configuration options – from beam quality, pulse parameters and power levels to cable length and beam conditioning. Application-specific beam diameters can be achieved using interchangeable beam expander collimators – a distinct advantage for a wide variety of applications.
PulseTune™ technology allows you to control parameters such as pulse duration and pulse energy, which can be specifically tailored to the requirements of your application – for optimal results in marking, ablation and nanosecond welding.
As a laser source without peripherals, the TruPulse nano offers maximum design freedom for your individual system concepts. Robustly built, low-maintenance and with a 3-year warranty, it is ideal for 24/7 operation in demanding applications.
Our patented nanosecond welding process uses short nanosecond laser pulses – for minimal heat-affected zones, reduced distortion and significantly less formation of intermetallic phases when welding dissimilar metal combinations.
The TruPulse nano in use
The TruPulse nano is our beam source for anyone wanting to to integrate precise and versatile laser processing into their own machines. Whether marking, engraving, ablation, cutting or nanosecond welding, the laser is suitable for a variety of processes and materials. Its modular design and finely adjustable pulse parameters allow optimal adaptation to your processes – especially in the electronics, battery and manufacturing industries.
Engraving of dies
Engraving of dies
Engraving dies requires the highest precision and excellent surface quality – this creates deep, sharp engravings without compromising the stability of the punch.
The TruPulse nano delivers high pulse energy and excellent beam quality for detailed engraving with precise depth control. With PulseTune™, you can flexibly adjust pulse duration and energy – ideal for complex engravings in electronics, medical technology or toolmaking. This increases quality and reduces rejects and development times.
Welding battery contacts
Welding battery contacts
Battery contacts are often made of different materials such as copper, aluminium and nickel with different melting points. The welding points must be highly precise and repeatable in order to avoid damage.
The TruPulse nano enables precisely controlled heat input through short nanosecond pulses to avoid material deformation and thermal damage to the cell and components. Our patented nanosecond welding technologies guarantee strong mechanical and electrical connections – even with thin and highly reflective materials such as copper.
Clean hairpin stripping
Clean hairpin stripping
When stripping hairpins in electric motors, paint layers must be removed in a precise, pore-free and material-friendly manner without damaging the copper underneath.
The TruPulse nano is available with beam configurations specifically designed for demanding material removal. With finely adjustable parameters, the TruPulse nano reliably removes various insulation materials. The short pulse duration protects the hair pins and ensures maximum process stability.
Cutting battery foils
Cutting battery foils
Sensitive materials such as wafer-thin, coated copper and aluminium films must be cut extremely precisely and burr-free – at high speeds and without thermal damage to the film or coating.
The short pulses of the TruPulse nano with PulseTune™ technology minimise heat input and protect sensitive coatings from delamination, burning or detachment. The result? Burr-free, clean cut edges – for improved battery reliability, process consistency and lower material costs.
Product marking and engraving with laser
Product marking and engraving with laser
Product labels must be durable, high-contrast and easy to read – on a wide variety of materials such as metals, films and plastics. Industrial applications in automotive, medical technology or electronics also require high process speeds.
The TruPulse nano offers high flexibility in power control for marking applications on sensitive materials. The process can be adapted flexibly with up to 48 selectable waveforms. Nanosecond pulses enable precise, high-contrast and cold marking, even on reflective or coated surfaces.
One system. All TRUMPF.
A laser on its own is not a solution. Only when combined with precise optics, intelligent sensors and bespoke services can a system be created that makes your applications possible and ensures reliable processes. In TRUMPF, you have a partner who not only delivers technology, but reliable process results – solutions that tangibly advance your production and pay off through sustainable success.
