TruMicro Mark
Cold marking and microprocessing in consistently high quality
Our powerhouse
The lasers in our TruMicro Mark series can cold-process materials by combining ultra-short pulses with extreme peak pulse power, enabling you to produce deep black, high-contrast markings of the highest quality and precision – right down to the creation of micro- and nanostructures. You can choose between two model variants to suit the requirements of your applications. The TruMicro Mark 1020 enables you to process complex 3D objects, while the TruMicro Mark 2030 can be precisely adapted to a wide range of materials and tasks thanks to variable pulse durations from 400 femtoseconds to 20 picoseconds.
What makes the TruMicro Mark so special
The TruMicro Mark works with ultra-short laser pulses in the picosecond and femtosecond range, causing the material to vaporise instantly rather than melt. This allows you to achieve flawless marking results without thermally induced microcracks, burns or burrs, even on sensitive materials such as glass or ceramics.
Because of the minimal heat input, you can create extremely fine structures at the micro- and nano-scale that effectively absorb sunlight completely. As a result, they appear completely black, do not fade, remain corrosion-free – and remain clearly legible even after many sterilisation cycles, regardless of the viewing angle. The corrosion resistance of the steel used is retained.
The TruMicro Mark 2030 model offers a range of adjustable parameters that is unrivalled in the market, allowing you to achieve a wide variety of effects – from mirror and polishing effects to particularly deep engravings of the highest quality, such as those required in medical technology, the precision engineering sector or the watchmaking industry.
Pre-configured software packages allow you to deploy the TruMicro Mark in production processes across various industries with just a few adjustments, for example for serialisation through UDI-compliant marking of products in the medical technology or aerospace sectors You can also book our TRUMPF IQ/OQ services to check all critical aspects of installation and function.
With the TruMicro Mark 1020, there are no limits when it comes to shaping your products – the laser can mark 2D and 3D codes with unique precision, for example on inclined surfaces and complex geometries.
Thanks to their particularly high peak pulse power and active power regulation, the lasers in the TruMicro Mark series produce consistently good and precise markings even under changing conditions, for example with different ambient temperatures or material compositions. This makes them the go-to choice for long-term high-end productions.
Further advantages
-
All in one turnkey device
Would you like a system that meets your specific requirements but is ready for immediate use? The TruMicro Mark includes all key components, such as interfaces, scanners, software and laser-safe housing – and can be integrated into overall control concepts. -
Safe and reliable with PLe
The TruMark Mark Series meets the highest safety level, Performance Level e (PLe). Redundant safety systems and rapid error detection increase production reliability – without the need for additional measures on the laser itself.
The TruMicro Mark in use
You want to apply burr-free engravings to a wide variety of materials and create black markings that can withstand frequent cleaning, for example on medical technology components and tools. The TruMicro Mark uses ultra-short, high-energy laser pulses to introduce minimal heat into the material during processing, enabling high-quality, burr-free markings. The same applies to high-precision microprocessing on sensitive materials, such as the microstructuring of surface markings or the precise cutting of extremely thin films.
Black marking
Black marking
You want to apply high-contrast markings to surfaces that are easy to read from all angles – and do not rust permanently even in corrosive environments, for example UDI codes, which play an important role in the traceability of medical technology.
The TruMicro Mark Series generates very little heat thanks to its ultra-short, high-energy laser pulses. This enables completely black lettering to be applied regardless of the viewing angle and without damaging the material. At the same time, the chrome layer is retained, which protects the surface from rust – even with frequent cleaning or disinfection.
Flawless engravings
Flawless engravings
You want to be able to engrave any material with flawlessly smooth edges and precisely crafted patterns, and to apply colour.
The lasers in the TruMicro Mark series are versatile machines that allow you to engrave virtually any material. Thanks to their ultra-short laser pulses, they can precisely ablate and structure surfaces – and create coloured markings on certain materials, such as the backs of watches.
Surface processing in the micro and nano range
Surface processing in the micro and nano range
You want to create ultra-fine structures in the micro and nano range in order to achieve optical effects or specific functions.
Thanks to the ultra-short pulses, the lasers in the TruMicro Mark series can process materials without heating them. This allows you to incorporate the finest structures into the material or create functional structures – such as water-repellent or water-attracting surfaces. These microstructures can significantly improve the stability of bonded joints.
Drilling and cutting in the micro range
Drilling and cutting in the micro range
You want to produce the smallest holes with high surface quality on different materials or cut thin, fine films.
The lasers in the TruMicro Mark series are available in variants with a green wavelength, which are particularly suitable for glass and non-ferrous metals such as copper and gold – and with an infrared wavelength for ferrous metals. This allows you to optimally adapt the wavelength and power to suit a wide variety of materials. This enables clean cuts and drill holes in the micro range, even with delicate workpieces.
One system. All TRUMPF.
A laser on its own is not a solution. Only when combined with precise optics, intelligent sensors and bespoke services can a system be created that makes your applications possible and ensures reliable processes. In TRUMPF, you have a partner who not only delivers technology, but reliable process results – solutions that tangibly advance your production and pay off through sustainable success.
