Compact powerhouse

– for any rack cabinet

Our TruFiber P compact fibre lasers are the proven solution for precise and flawless cutting of a wide variety of materials and for additive manufacturing. They can be easily inserted into any rack cabinet in your production line and are suitable as single or multimode for both precision processing of thin materials and clean cutting of thicker metals.

What sets the TruFiber P compact apart

– Special features at a glance
Fits into any rack

With a compact 19-inch format, TruFiber P compact lasers can be integrated into any rack cabinet in just a few simple steps. Your existing production line does not need to be altered.

Ideal for use in dry rooms

As air-cooled variants with up to 500 W, our TruFiber P compact lasers are ideal for processing moisture-sensitive components in dry rooms, for example in battery production or for electronic components from the entertainment industry.

Safe processing of reflective metals

TruFiber P compact lasers process reflective metals such as brass or copper without interference or interruption, because a patented technology dissipates back-reflections. This protects the laser from damage and prevents downtime on your production line.

Further advantages

  • Safe and reliable with PLe

The TruFiber P compact fibre lasers meet the highest safety level, Performance Level e (PLe). Redundant safety systems and rapid error detection increase production reliability – without the need for additional measures on the laser itself.

The TruFiber P compact in use

– What to expect

You want to cut materials of different thicknesses cleanly, process moisture-sensitive electronic components safely, or manufacture customised products using metallic 3D printing? TruFiber P compact fiber lasers have the right beam quality as single- or multimode lasers for precise processing of any material, and are also suitable for dry rooms as air-cooled variants with up to 500 W.

Clean cutting of stents

Clean cutting of stents

You must ensure that cutting medical stents does not create rough edges or deposits that could come loose in the body after implantation.

Thanks to their excellent singlemode beam quality, TruFiber P compact fibre lasers enable you to precisely place even the smallest cutting points and produce smooth, clean cutting areas of the highest quality.

Laser cutting of thin and thick sheet metals

Laser cutting of thin and thick sheet metals

When processing thin materials, lasers must be able to ablate sufficient material despite narrow kerfs. For thicker materials, they must produce clean cuts even at high power.

In singlemode, TruFiber P compact fibre lasers with a spot diameter of 30 µm achieve the ideal beam strength for cutting materials with a thickness of 1 mm or less – for example, thin brass sheets. In multimode, they cut sharp, high-quality edges with a spot diameter of 50 µm even with metals up to 6 mm thick.

Application of layers in 3D printing

Application of layers in 3D printing

For metallic 3D printing in dental practices and dental laboratories, lasers must be optimally adjusted so that they can build dental products such as dental crowns or implants according to ever-changing specifications.

Thanks to their high beam strength, precision and stable performance, TruFiber P compact fiber lasers enable you to melt metal powder in such a way that you can implement any specific requirement safely and quickly.

One system. All TRUMPF.

– explore the components and services available for this laser

A laser on its own is not a solution. Only when combined with precise optics, intelligent sensors and bespoke services can a system be created that makes your applications possible and ensures reliable processes. In TRUMPF, you have a partner who not only delivers technology, but reliable process results – solutions that tangibly advance your production and pay off through sustainable success.

Programmable focusing optics PFO 20

Optics

Guide and focus the laser beam

Overview

Optics focus the laser beam precisely on the workpiece – exactly at the point where processing takes place. TRUMPF offers two variants here:
Traditional laser focusing optics (BEO) focus a laser beam on a fixed processing point. To cover the processing surface, either the optics or the workpiece must be moved.
Programmable focusing optics (PFO) flexibly direct the laser beam to any position in the processing field with the help of mirrors – without any mechanical movement of the workpiece or optics. All optics can be combined via an interface with various sensors for process monitoring – from TRUMPF or third-party suppliers.
