Milling head: 3D print on preform

Tool and mould making TruPrint Tool steel Maraging steel Additive Manufacturing

Preform Advanced facilitates the hybrid production of milling cutters on conventionally manufactured preforms. The sensor-based alignment between the PBF part and the preform is fully automated. High alignment accuracy and high reproducibility are guaranteed. Cost-effective and time-efficient production is possible thanks to the ability to combine different manufacturing technologies. In this case, the topology-optimized, complex functional area of the milling head is printed on a cylindrical preform that is produced inexpensively. Up to 25 milling cutters fit on one plate.
