TruHeat MW Series 1000 / 3000 / 5000

Compact high-tech microwave generator for your complex heating applications

Homogeneous, precise and reproducible microwave heating

The commercialization of microwave processes has previously offered few opportunities to influence heating processes in a manner that allows for precise temperature distribution and reproducible results. With the utilization of precise and rapidly controllable semiconductor generators, it is now feasible to optimize the heating process in a targeted manner, all without the need for mechanically moving components or intricate applicator modifications. The TruHeat MW Series enables highly efficient power coupling to the precise resonance frequency of the applicator, resulting in a significant enhancement of coupled power. For the first time, complex heating processes of materials such as different ceramics, plastics or glass can be realized with extremely low dielectric losses.

150% reflected power

The circulators integrated as standard mean that the generators can be operated continuously even in the event of a mismatch (total reflection).

Switchover time of one millisecond

Various field distributions or heating patterns can be combined by quickly switching the frequency in order to achieve a targeted temperature distribution.

Synchronous phases

In multi-antenna systems, various generators can be operated in a phase-synchronized and pulsed manner. Considerable field/temperature homogenisation can be achieved by varying the phase references between the individual generators.

Precise power regulation

The pulsability of the generator allows you to control the plasma with extreme precision in the nanosecond range, so that the plasma temperature can be optimally set and non-thermal plasma can be generated.

Communication with several generators in real time

The EtherCat digital interface allows you to control the device very quickly within a millisecond. This enables precise heating and extremely accurate processing results.

Direct magnetron replacement

Existing and/or decommissioned systems can be easily retrofitted and recommissioned with significant technical innovations. A one-off investment can also increase profitability, as the system then runs without interruption.

Above average service life

The generators in the TruHeat MW Series achieve approximately twenty times more operational hours compared to conventional magnetrons.

Artificial leather lining

The adhesive layers are infused with absorbers prior to application to enhance microwave absorption, ensuring the artificial leather remains cool. Utilizing the TruHeat MW Series 1000 or 3000 facilitates a notable enhancement in temperature distribution throughout the entire adhesive layer, resulting in a substantial improvement in quality.

Dried fruit using microwave vacuum drying

Microwave drying, without the need for moving components, facilitates the easy production of high-quality dried fruit. The targeted modulation of microwaves allows for a customized, homogeneous energy input into the product being dried.

3D microwave printer for continuous fibre-reinforced polymers

Microwaves enable the high-speed processing of continuous fibre-reinforced thermoplastic composites (CFRTP). TRUMPF generators are preferred for this application due to their capability for external real-time output power regulation. This is particularly crucial for handling curves, where printing speed variations are a factor.

Efficient, non-contact heating of plastic films

Efficient heating of low-loss samples, such as plastic films for the packaging industry, is attainable through the high-frequency selectivity of our generators and their straightforward frequency tunability.

Graphene generation

Production of high-quality 3D graphene powder using precisely defined pulsed microwave generators.

Atomic layer deposition

Semiconductor-based microwave generators enable uninterrupted generation of dense plasmas to support crystal growth processes. The use of nanopulses can result in significant energy savings.

Silicon heating

Rapid heating of SiC/Si for various high-tech applications.

Chemical vapor deposition

Semiconductor-based microwave generators enable uninterrupted generation of dense plasmas used in the manufacture of artificial diamonds. The retrofitting of existing magnetron-operated systems can be achieved without any complications.

Highly efficient and innovative GaN generator in the 2.45-GHz-ISM band for high-tech microwave applications
To date, the main obstacle and greatest disadvantage in the industrialisation of microwave processes was the lack of “options”. Up to now, only mechanically mobile components such as rotating plates, agitators, etc. were available to influence the homogeneity of the heating process and to facilitate a targeted temperature distribution and a reproducible heating process.
