The multimode fibre lasers of the TruFiber S Series provide you with flexible beam shaping with up to two outputs and low-spatter laser welding thanks to BrightLine Weld technology. Active Power Control also guarantees maximum performance stability. Whether our TruControl control software, optics or services, with TRUMPF you always get the total package, tailor-made for you.

High stability

The robust TruFiber S withstands interference and external stresses. The integrated laser power control measures and regulates the laser power in real time to ±1% accuracy.

High reliability

A dehumidification unit is available as a protective mechanism for operation in tropical regions. Further mechanisms protect the laser from back-reflections.

High-quality process results

BrightLine Weld enables spatter-free laser welding. The result is high-quality welding seams showing neither seam collapse nor end scratches and able to meet high strength requirements.

A productivity boost

With BrightLine Weld, productivity increases with significantly higher feed rates. Benefit from low rejects and low machine downtimes.

High flexibility of use

The TruFiber S can be equipped with up to two laser outputs. The beam guidance is integrated into the compact laser housing. The use of several laser outputs optimises the utilisation of the lasers.

BrightLine Weld beam formation unit

You can weld materials such as mild or stainless steel or even copper and aluminium with almost no spatter thanks to the patented TRUMPF BrightLine Weld technology. The weld seams ensure high strength with no pores, seam collapse, cracks or end scratches.

Welding busbars

The individual cells are connected to modules or packs by busbar welding (busbar = live rails).

The multimode fibre lasers seal the prismatic battery housing fitted with the electrode pack – without pores, cracks or unwanted seam buckling.

The multimode fibre lasers are used in highly integrated and scalable copper welding processes and play a crucial role in the quality of the contacts in electric motors.

Cutting of an array of materials

The TruFiber S cuts an array of sheet thicknesses and material types – even highly reflective non-ferrous metals. The edges are smooth and burr-free.

TruControl

TruControl is the control software for your TRUMPF solid-state laser – for quick and simple operation. You can program pulse shapes individually to match your application. The laser power is controlled in real time to ensure maximum reproducibility of your process results. In order to retrace important quality data of your produced parts even years later, the optional DataStore software module records all data relevant to quality.

If external control systems are present, TruControl will communicate with them via all standard interfaces. Inputs are made via the touchscreen of the operating panel or via a panel PC. You can integrate your laser into the network via Ethernet and connect multiple PCs.

Flexible integrated beam guidance

There are many different options for the beam guidance that will enable you to plan flexibly with your laser. Easily connect optical laser cables to different work stations. In doing so, choose the number of fibre outlets (up to two). The laser power can be flexibly divided across the outlets. This allows multiple work stations to operate simultaneously with split laser power or one after the other with full laser power.

BrightLine Weld

Benefit from virtually spatter-free laser welding and top welding seam quality with the BrightLine Weld option. You have the choice – increase your productivity considerably due to significantly increased feed rates, or reduce your energy costs by up to 40%. In this way, you can lower your machine downtimes and your operating costs since post-processing is reduced.

Interface variety – for simple integration

Interfaces are key for the integration of a TruFiber laser into your machine or production line. The solid-state lasers from TRUMPF offer interfaces to all common fieldbus systems. Also available: real-time interface, parallel digital I/O, interface for process sensor systems, OPC UA software interface, analogue input board, interface for intelligent TRUMPF optics (CFO, PFO).

Intelligent down to the workpiece

Intelligent optics can be synchronised with your laser via a dedicated interface. For example, CFO focusing optics or PFO scanner optics can be used optimally for your purposes. You can program the processing optics easily using the laser control system. You do not need any additional PCs or control systems.

Remote Services

In the event of a fault, TRUMPF service experts will remotely access your laser via a secure remote connection. In many cases the fault can be remedied directly in this way, or the configuration of the laser can be modified in a way that permits you to continue manufacturing until the spare part arrives. This enables maximum availability for you and significantly reduces your service costs.

TRUMPF laser network

With the laser network, you can network one or more lasers with up to six work stations in each case. In the process, your laser either splits its power to multiple stations, or it supplies them by taking turns with full power. This will enable you to combine different applications such as welding or cutting with one another.

AdjustLine

AdjustLine enables the easy adjustment of the cutting process to different materials. This allows you to increase process reliability, especially when cutting difficult materials, and benefit from fewer rejects and lower material costs. The operator can switch AdjustLine on or off at any time.

Thanks to the TRUMPF sensor system, your production will always be both effective and cost-effective. The sensor products VisionLine, CalibrationLine or integrated pyrometers ensure stable processes by monitoring all the procedures in laser production, thus making a key contribution to your process reliability. Processing continues uninterrupted during the measurement – no interruptions are required, saving you valuable production time.
