Dr. Wolfgang Bernhart has been a Partner in Roland Berger's Stuttgart office since 2007 and is an expert in the automotive industry. He has implemented numerous strategy projects and transformation programs around the world. - Manz AG, Dr. Dmitrij Walter, Head of Laser Process Technology – "Industrial use of laser technology in Li-Battery cell- and module manufacturing"
Dr. Dmitrij Walter completed his studies in Applied Physics with a focus on Laser Technology at the University of Applied Sciences Mittelhessen, earning a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) degree. He then pursued Physics studies at the Technische University of Clausthal-Zellerfeld, obtaining a Dipl. Phys. (Univ.) degree. Following his Ph.D. at the "Institut für Strahlwerkzeuge (IFSW)" in Stuttgart, specializing in Micromachining with Ultrashort Pulsed Laser Sources and earning a Dr.-Ing. title, he worked as a Laser Process Engineer at Dausinger und Giesen GmbH. Since 2009, he has been with Manz AG – initially as a Process Engineer, then as Group Leader of "Laser Technology and Optical Devices," and eventually as Head of the Laser Technology Department.
- Gestamp, Miguel Angel Ferrández, BiW R&D Director and BiW R&D Material Joining, Gestamp – "Laser Welding in AlSi coated Steels"
Ferrández, born in 1974 in Aranda de Duero (Burgos, Spain), is an engineer with extensive experience in the automotive industry. He holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Zaragoza, a Degree in Manufacturing Engineering from DIT Dublin, Ireland, and an Executive MBA from the University of Barcelona.
Ferrández joined Gestamp in 2006 as a production supervisor at the Zaragoza plant. In 2013, he moved to Japan to lead R&D activities and later became the BiW Director in the
Tokyo Office, focused on co-development activities with Japanese vehicle manufacturers. In 2019, he returned to Spain to lead the R&D BiW Office in Bilbao, focusing on technology validation for steel, aluminum, fibers, and joining techniques.
- ArcelorMittal, Jessé Paegle, Automotive Steel Solution Director – "Shaping the future: How Steel Solutions and MultiPart Integration are simplifying the manufacturing process of electric vehicles"
Jessé Paeglé has worked in the mining and automotive industries since 1997. He joined ArcelorMittal in 2005 as technical customer support engineer before supporting the development of ArcelorMittal’s advanced high strength steel (AHSS) families in the Mercosur region. After leaving ArcelorMittal in 2012, Jessé re-joined the Group in 2019 to lead new developments at ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks in Europe. He holds a degree in chemical engineering and a Master’s in automotive engineering from Parana University (Brazil).

- Johannes Bührle, Director Global Business Development – Mobility
Johannes Bührle studied M.Sc. industrial engineering specializing in production engineering, as well as Executive MBA at ie-Business School Instituto de Empresa, Madrid. His current position is "Director Global Business Development – Mobility" and is also responsible for the Global Battery Business at TRUMPF. He has over 15 years of experience in laser technology and Application mainly in Automotive Industry. He specializes in the field of EV Battery Cell and Fuel Cell.
- Dr. Mauritz Möller, Head of Business Development and industry Management Mobility
Dr. Mauritz Möller studied mechanical engineering and materials technology at the Hamburg University of Technology. In addition he achieved the certification as International Welding Engineer and his Ph.D. degree at the Fraunhofer society. He is currently working at TRUMPF heading the Group Business Development with a focus on topics regarding e-mobility. Together with his Team he is accountable for the exploration of new application fields and laser system technologies for the efficient production of battery systems.
